This weekend

Horrible WW weekend! I ate chips and chocolate and candy! Tonight for dinner I had a stuffed pepper, 2 cabbage rolls, 4 perogies and a huge piece of carrot cake. I feel gross! Tomorrow I'm starting core, and am all ready to get back on track. Hopefully this won't mess up my WI on thursday. I think it's still early enough in the week that I can recover from it.

As for running, on friday I ran home from work. It was a good run, but I forgot how many hills there are on the bike path. Saturday I went to the gym, it was a good workout. The gym is suprisingly empty on Saturday mornings.

I went for a 10km run today. We ran along the bike path next to the transit way. It was a good run. There were a few hills, but they didn't feel that bad. I finally figured out what Steph (the RR leader for the clinic I'm in) means when he says "Push, push, pull, pull" as we go up hills. I think I need new shoes though. One shoe felt like I have no arch support in, and I now have a blister on both feet! I'm gonna go to the drug store tomorrow and see if I can find any of the band-aids made for blisters, and then I'm gonna have to get new shoes!

Last night's run

Last night was my worts. run. ever!

I was gonna go running around my WW meeting, just for a little change of scenery. Well, when I got out side it was raining, and I really, really didn't want to go running in the rain, so I figured I would go to the gym (which happens to be in the same place as my WW meeting). So I go, and get started on the treadmill, going ok.

On my first walk break, I managed to catch the emergency stop cable and pull it out, lost all of the info for what I had already done (time, distance, etc). I get going again, after about 5 min, I almost trip over my sweater that had fallen down. I figured out what it was and let it roll off the end of the treadmill and then just left it on the ground.

A trainer walks by a little later and hands it to me, as I'm putting it back on the railing, I step on the runner that goes along the side, and of course, my one foot stays there, the other one goes flying backwards. I ended up banging my toes, shin and knee on the way down. I was so annoyed with myself that I just left. Didn't even finish my workout!

Plus it was soooo hot in there! I was sweating like a pig, it was really bad.

Oh well, I guess this just goes to prove that I should run outside where there is fresh air!

Went for a run at lunch time today, and it was a personal record! 6km in 44.5 min. It was great, especially considering I ran a 7km hill run last night. Went for a great run into Ottawa, over the Alexandria bridge, in front of Major's Hill park, up Wellington and back across the Portage bridge. It was good.

This evening I went to the gym after work. Had a pretty good workout there too. Was glad that John came to pick me up so that I wouldn't have to walk home. I was pretty tired and my bag was really heavy. We went out to dinner at Joey's seafood.

I had the 3 piece fish sticks and fries, I was really good. Probably not the best choice for the night before WI, but oh well. It tasted great. I'll have to wait and see what comes of it all tomorrow.

My First Blog!

Well, I've decided to start my very own blog! It's about time I get with it. Hopefully this will help me to stay motivated with my weight loss and with my workouts! I figure I will be posting about my runs and whatnot, so if you see that I missed a run, please feel free to point it out to me!
